Disneyland Plaza Inn Lunch Review

Disneyland Plaza Inn Lunch Review

I heard so many great things about the Plaza Inn that this was my #1 pick. I was shocked to hear that it is a quick service restaurant. You can find the Plaza Inn at the end of Main Street on the right hand side inside Disneyland.

You can eat here if you get a corn dog or ice cream from anywhere. We weren't sure if we were allowed to eat here if we didn't buy food there & were told by a cast member that it is encouraged. It has lovely outdoor seating as well as indoors. We ate both breakfast & lunch here. I recommend making reservations if you want to do the Character Breakfast as it is very popular. I heard that the Plaza Inn Fried Chicken was Walt's favorite so of course I had to try that! They only have a few options but everything looks so good! They have different stations you order from like a cafeteria, soda station, & then you pay at the register on your way to your seat.

My husband & I both chose the fried chicken meal which includes: fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes & gravy, biscuit

There was more than enough meat. It was very crispy & juicy. I actually think the Primetime 50's has slightly better fried chicken personally. The biscuit was ehhh but the mashed potatoes & gravy were very good!

We were lucky & got a seat inside of the beautiful themed restaurant. The fresh flowers on the table were a nice touch.

I have a huge sweet tooth so HAD to try the desserts. We were here during gay week & saw this beautiful piece of rainbow cake.

We chose a piece of carrot cake & red velvet cake. I was highly disappointed with both choices. They looked so good but it was a huge let down.

You can buy this really cool mug here for I think $13?

All in all I liked the Plaza Inn. I would recommend this to anyone. It is a huge step up to most quick service places that are at WDW.
I don't think a quick service in Florida looks this nice besides Be Our Guest.

Have you been here before & if so what is your opinion?

Duke's Restaurant Review in Huntington, CA ..

We were most excited to eat here on our CA trip. If you find yourself near Huntington Beach, CA we HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. The name might sound familiar if you have been to Hawaii. The restaurant is named after one of the famous Hawaiian surfers. We have eaten at the ones in Oahu & Kauai. This place reminds us of our Honeymoon as well as having amazing food.

I highly recommend  that you make reservations. If we didn't we would have waited an hour & half. I made our reservation through opentable.com I noted that it was our 5 year anniversary so they were nice enough to give us an oceanside view table. It was off into a separated porch room. We came here after our day at Knott's Berry Farm. The beach has a pier you can walk down with shops. We chose to valet our car at Duke's. We waited around 20 minutes for our table. It only took a little longer since we wanted the table with the view.

This place is known for their fresh fish but they do have other amazing dishes to choose from. Here is a link to their full menu. It can change due to the season:

I chose one of their Pineapple martini but sadly I did not care for it.

Our View

We had the most amazing waiter! Marsh & I were boring and
ordered the same exact things. We both ordered the Caesar Salad.

Looking back to all the food we ordered we might not get salad next time. We were stuffed at the end of the night!

They do offer several fish options that are not posted on the menu. The waiter will explain them all. We ordered Opah or Moonfish is the slang term for it. It is the MOST amazing fish I've ever had in my entire life! I highly recommend that you get it "Duke Style" They have different sauces to choose from to add on the fish.

We ordered extra sides of their Mac & Cheese as well as the creamed corn. EVERYTHING was melt in your mouth amazing!

Mac & Cheese

Creamed Corn

Our waiter brought us out Hula Pie as a surprise for our anniversary! If there is ONE thing you must try here it is definitely the Hula Pie! It is macadamia nut ice cream w/ chocolate fudge sauce. OH MY GODDDDDDDDD! We were pigs & ate it ALL ourselves!

As you can tell we hated it. ;) Please let me know if you give Duke's a try & your opinion.

Disney's Aladdin Theatre Show So Long.....

Disney's Aladdin Theatre Show So Long

You can find the Hyperion Theatre at Disney's California Adventure Theme Park. This beautiful & massive theatre holds 1,984 people. I was sad to hear that the Aladdin Show was closing. Aladdin premiered in 1993 & closed in January 2016. Frozen has since taken its place but I haven't heard much reviews on the new show.

I'm SO happy we got to see it before it closed! Aladdin is one of my favorite Disney movies of all time. The stage, cast members, & props/stage set were beyond amazing! Everything was perfection. The show wouldn't have been what it was without the genie. The show threw in current pop culture references that kept it fresh.

The last day of shows the lines were all the way down the California Adventure Park. The fans were true & loyal to this show & for good reason.

Did you ever see this show & what was your opinion?
