Disney's Flying Fish Review

Disney's Flying Fish Review

I have been wanting to go to Flying Fish for YEARS! You can find it at the Boardwalk area near Epcot. You can actually take a boat or walk from the International Gateway exit of the Epcot Park. We drove here from our Animal Kingdom Day & parked at the Boardwalk hotel. We were given a piece of paper that said we could only park for 2 hours but we ended up staying for longer than that with no issues. The parking lot is small so go early if you are driving.

I know they recently renovated the restaurant so was expecting a lot. The check in & lobby area of this place is TINY! They also share the same bathroom with Abracadabar next door as FYI.

Check in Desk

We had to wait around 20 minutes before we were seated. Luckily we found seats at one of the benches provided in the lobby.

I love the bubbles & flying fish hanging from the ceiling. I also loved the winding booths like waves was a nice touch. This definitely lived up to the view of a Signature Restaurant unlike some others we've been to.

Bar area of Flying Fish

They sat us next to the open kitchen and bar. I was kind of disappointed we didn't get to sit in back of the restaurant but maybe next time.

I loved the little touches on the table.

I wasn't impressed with the cocktail selection so I chose  Prosecco. The Prosecca was SO good it tasted like candy! I had two glasses ;)

For our appetizer we chose to split the pork belly! It was everything I thought it would be. We wished it was a bit bigger but plenty for two people to share. ;)

We both chose the Ocean's Bounty Sustainable Fish. The waitress messed up my order but it was quickly fixed by the food runner. We weren't very impressed with our waitress. She didn't go over & beyond for us. She wasn't horrible but she wasn't great either. Our friends recommended a waiter here but we couldn't get sat with him until 9pm! The fish on the other hand was amazing! The potato beurre blanc was superb & fish was cooked to perfection.

Dessert Options:

I wasn't impressed with the dessert menu since I don't care for citrus desserts but Marsh tried the Florida Reef & Kona French Press Coffee.

We would go back here in a heartbeat & are already planning to go back here in the fall!

Warner Bros. Tour: Gilmore Girls,Friends,Fuller House, Big Bang Theory

Warner Bros. Tour: Gilmore Girls,Friends,Fuller House, Big Bang Theory

When we were in California we wanted to do something other than Disney one day. We decided to do I think it was 4 or 5 hour WB Tour. I would suggest getting there early because traffic is brutal! This was our last day in CA & we were flying the red eye home. We barely made our tour! At the beginning of the tour you sit in a mini theatre & watch a video. You will then be split into groups with your personal tour guide. I REALLY regret not watching Gilmore Girls before this tour. I would have appreciated it more. :)

The vehicles they drive you in

I remember the first stop was said to have filmed a lot of Luke's Diner scenes but not all of them. They also drove us passed the lake that Luke pushes Jessie in but I didn't take a picture. SORRY!

I believe this is the first house they used for Gilmore Girls.

This is where they film Fuller House or parts of it! :) WE got to see the Fuller House babies when we walked passed their studio when going to Conan but no cameras were allowed out on the walk over or inside Conan studio.

This building was shot many times as the hospital for E.R.

You should recognize this area! It is where they have filmed Hart of Dixie, Gilmore Girls, & many other TV shows. They did show us The Gilmore Girls Antique store & Luke's Diner but I only had a few minutes to take pictures. There was SO much to see just in this small area. We got to go into one of the stores & they are very compact & empty & told us how the prop team does amazing job to make it look like a full functioning store.

I was VERY excited to go here! Attention all FRIENDS fans! This is the house where they filmed the flashbacks like the one where Ross was going to be Rachel's last minute Prom Date. It was actual a decent sized nice house.

At the very end of the tour you get to see the super cute cafe & you get to sit in the Friend's area!!!

We actually learned something cool here. The house above was actually the house they used to film Emily & Richard Gilmore's House & to save time on the other side out front was Lorelai & Rory's newer bigger house. This pic is actually in the back yard!

Above is Patty's Dance Studio from Gilmore Girls! It was also used for one of the Clydesdales Budweiser commercials.

The theatre above was used on Friends & is still used today for the Big Bang Theory. Remember the Indiana Jones episode where everyone chases Sheldon? This is it! Unfortunately Big Bang was filming on a closed set on our day there but they let you on set if no one is there! All in all we loved this tour. This is Part 1 of 3 series. There were 2 more parts to this tour & I'm excited to share those with you soon!

Disney's Pecos Bill Cafe at Magic Kingdom Review

Disney Pecos Bill Cafe at Magic Kingdom Review

I have to be honest I was a little afraid to try this place. The last time I was here was in 2000. You can find Pecos Bill at Magic Kingdom Park in Frontierland. The menu has since been completely overhauled into a Chipotle basically. I wasn't very hungry when we stopped for lunch so I just ordered off of the kid's menu. It was very crowded but the line went by fast and we were lucky enough to find a seat right away.

Marsh chose beef nachos and was impressed with the fresh fixin's bar and fresh guacamole.

I wasn't that hungry & don't care for Mexican food so chose the Mac & cheese kid's meal. :) It was WAY better than my expectations were. I also got a bottle of water, grapes, & carrots included in that price! My cheapest meal our whole trip!

My husband surprised me & ordered mini churros as well.

I personally didn't care for the churros & I thought the chocolate sauce was gross but my husband loved them? :)

I would go here again in a heartbeat! That mac & cheese is a HUGE selling point to me! It wasn't to little but not too much either! My husband said this is one of his fave Disney fast food places now!
